the first of many

I’ve always been a pen & paper gal. As a kid, I was always writing and illustrating my own little books. To this day, a notebook and/or sketchbook is always within arm’s reach. There’s nothing like getting a whirlwind of thoughts and emotions out of my head and onto a piece of paper.

My love for analogue has been consistent. Every camera I own requires Polaroid or 35mm film. I started collecting vinyl records just before it started getting cool again. And I ignore all decluttering experts who advise to get rid of my books.

That being said… I’m warming up to digital life. After resisting for many years…I caved and bought a Kindle. A small device that holds an entire library and weighs less than an actual book? And I can highlight lines and all the notes are organized in one easily accessible spot? (I know, I’m a little late to the party). Maybe technology isn’t the worst thing. But I’m not getting rid of my books.

And as much as I love writing on paper in a notebook, I do understand the appeal of blogging. Sharing thoughts and ideas, knowledge and... Well, people are always asking me for advice. Why? Because I’m honest. I’m a New Yorker (pronounced: new yawk-ah) and I work in the film industry. I got some stories. So, if you have a question you’d like me to answer, feel free to Ask Honor.
